Grab Types
Orange Peel Grab
The teeth of the orange peel grab bucket are made of high-strength wear-resistant steel structure. They operate smoothly and have high efficiency. However, the price is higher than that of mechanical grab buckets, and the maintenance cost in the later stage is relatively higher. This type of grab bucket is mainly used for loading and unloading large granular or block materials, such as ores, iron blocks, coal blocks, etc. The orange peel grab bucket can be divided into four-petal, five-petal and six-petal types according to the number of jaw blades.
The shell grab is suspended on the bucket arm of a crane or excavator for use. When opened, the grab presses or embeds the materials, and then the hydraulic cylinder pushes the jaw plates to close and grasp the materials.
