What is the Working Principle of Single Rope Grab

grab

grab

Single rope grabs generally consist of a hanging beam (ring), steel wire rope, sliding rod, upper supporting beam, sliding frame group, lower riding beam, strut, bucket part, etc., and are generally used in single hook cranes.

Single rope grab working process:

1. Open the grab bucket and place it on the material. Due to the effect of gravity, the sliding block descends and the bump is pushed into an angle of about 30° by the ejector pin;

2. Lift the wire rope, and the entire sliding block moves up along the guide rail. After moving a small distance, the convex block connects with the groove (the convex block rotates again at a small angle), driving the entire lower support beam to move upward, and the grab is closed to grab the material;

3. When unloading, release the wire rope. At this time, the bottom of the grab bucket first contacts the support surface. Due to gravity, the sliding block descends and the convex block is pushed into the horizontal direction by the ejector (the grab bucket is not opened);

4. Lift the wire rope, the sliding block moves upward, the cam is blocked by the groove to a vertical position, and is located on both sides of the outside of the guide rail, so the sliding seat separates from the lower supporting beam and moves upward to connect with the upper supporting beam. Due to the effect of weight, the bucket flap opens to discharge materials;

5. After unloading the material, the grab bucket is open in the air and placed on the material. The sliding block descends and the cam is pushed to an angle of about 30° by the ejector pin to complete a grabbing process.
