The double girder bridge crane is a large lifting equipment commonly used in workshops and factories, and can lift up to 500 tons of weight. In order to ensure the safe operation of double-girder cranes, operators must abide by safe operating procedures:
Before Work
a. Operators must check brakes, hooks, wire ropes, safety devices and other components in accordance with the requirements of the inspection card. If any abnormalities are found, they should be eliminated in time.
b. Turn on the main power only after confirming that there are no other people on the platform or track. If there is a lock or sign on the power circuit breaker, the lock or sign must be removed before the main power can be turned on.
At Work
a. When lifting a heavy object for the first time in each shift, the operator should lift the heavy object to a height of 0.5 meters above the ground, then lower the heavy object again, check whether the performance of the brake is reliable, and then proceed with normal operations after confirming that there are no problems.
b. During the operation, the operator should sound the alarm for the following situations as required:
- When lifting or lowering heavy objects;
- When a large vehicle or small vehicle is driving;
- When the line of sight is unclear, the crane should continuously sound the alarm when passing by;
- When the crane is traveling close to the span of another crane;
- When lifting heavy objects close to people.
c. During the operation and operation of the double-girder bridge crane, the unified command signals must be followed.
d. If there is a sudden power outage during work, all controller handles should be placed in the "zero" position and check whether the crane is operating normally before restarting.
e. During normal operation, it is strictly prohibited to turn on the reverse brake to stop; when changing the movement direction of the cart or trolley, the handle must be placed in the "zero" position so that the mechanism can completely stop running before reverse driving can occur.
f. If it is a double-hook crane, when the main hook and the auxiliary hook are switched, and when the heights of the two hooks are similar, the main hook and the auxiliary hook must be operated separately to avoid collision between the two hooks.
g. Double-hook cranes are not allowed to use two hooks to lift two objects at the same time; it is prohibited to adjust the lifting mechanism brake when it is not working.
h. It is not allowed to use the extreme position limiter as a parking device, and it is strictly prohibited to adjust the hoisting mechanism brake when there is a load.
After Work
a. The crane operator should raise the hook to a certain height, park the cart and trolley at the designated location, put the controller handle in the "zero" position, and then pull down the protection box switch handle to cut off the power supply.
b. Carry out daily maintenance work.
