There are many types of cranes to choose from for installing steel structure workshops, such as bridge cranes, gantry cranes, semi-gantry cranes, cantilever cranes, etc.
The two ends of the bridge crane are located on tall cement columns or metal supports, shaped like a bridge. The bridge runs longitudinally along the tracks laid on the elevated structures on both sides. It can make full use of the space under the bridge to lift materials without being hindered by ground equipment. It is the most widely used and most numerous type of lifting machinery.
The gantry crane is a deformation of the bridge crane. The metal structure is like a portal frame. Two legs are installed under the main beam. It can walk directly on the track on the ground. The two ends of the main beam can have overhanging cantilever beams.
Semi-gantry crane is an intermediate type between bridge crane and gantry crane. One end runs on the factory crane beam and the other end runs on the ground track, which can use the site more efficiently.
Cantilever cranes are hoisting machinery used in small-scale operations. They are suitable for lifting heavy objects in fixed working areas. The lifting tonnage is generally small.
Allowable deviation of crane beam installation in steel structure factory building (mm):
Mid-span verticality of beam: h/500;
Lateral bend sagittal height: l/1500 and should not be greater than 10.0;
Vertical sagittal height: 10.0
Center displacement of supports at both ends:
1. When installed on a steel column, the offset to the center of the corbel: 5.0;
2. When installed on a concrete column, the offset of the positioning axis: 5.0;
The offset between the center of the crane beam support stiffening plate and the column pressure stiffening plate: t/2;
