Product Introduction

Wall Mounted Jib Crane - Kino Cranes

Kino Cranes wall mounted jib cranes suit industrial sites needing steady lifting in a semicircular working area. They take up no floor space for support columns. Fixed onto building columns or reinforced walls, the cranes allow 180° boom rotation, with load capacities ranging from 0.25 t to 5 t.

This type of crane uses a horizontal boom held by wall brackets or column fixtures. Electric chain hoists or wire rope hoists move along the boom. The building itself acts as the main support, so no separate foundation is needed. It is a budget-friendly and practical choice for workshops, assembly areas, warehouses and maintenance zones. These units work perfectly where floor space is limited and large overhead cranes are not necessary.

All technical parameters can be adjusted to match your on-site demands. Kino Cranes accepts custom orders for boom length, lifting height, hoist type, and control configuration.

Structural Design and Mounting Methods

The structural integrity of a jib crane wall mounted installation depends on two factors: the crane's mechanical design and the load-bearing capacity of the mounting surface. Kino Cranes addresses both.

Crane structure.

The boom and bracket assembly adopt high-tensile bolted connections. These fasteners keep steady clamping force throughout the service life, and routine checks can be done without professional tools.

The overall frame is designed to cut down dead weight while staying within rated capacity. It lowers inertial loads during slewing, and makes manual positioning easier when needed.

Mounting options.

Three standard methods are available, selected based on the building structure at the installation point:

  1. Through-bolt anchoring. Threaded rods pass through the wall and are secured with counter plates and heavy-duty nuts. For solid masonry or reinforced concrete walls.
  2. Pillar-embracing bracket. Fabricated steel brackets clamp around existing structural columns without drilling into the column itself. Load is distributed evenly across the pillar cross-section.
  3. Bracket-plate assembly. Anchor bolts with bracket plates for intermediate load ratings. Bracket projection up to 500 mm; threaded rod depth up to 1000 mm.

Custom bracket designs are available for non-standard building geometries. Kino Cranes engineering team provides load-bearing guidance during the specification phase; structural verification of the mounting surface remains the responsibility of the end user.

Available Accessories

Each wall mount jib crane can be configured with the following accessories at the time of order:

  • Slew stoppers - Mechanical buffers that define a fixed slewing range, preventing the boom from entering adjacent equipment zones. Installed during commissioning.
  • Slew brake - Regulates boom rotation speed while carrying loads. We suggest installing it for booms longer than 5 m or units mounted higher than 4 m, to avoid safety risks caused by unintended swing.
  • Boom locking device - Holds the boom at a set angle during maintenance, downtime or when working within restricted zones.

Electrical and Component Standards

Kino Cranes wall mount jib cranes ship with a complete electrical package: motor, contactor, limit switches, and a lockable mains disconnect. Component sourcing follows established industrial standards:

  • Motors: ABB, SEW, Siemens, or other brands as requested by clients.
  • Bearings: SKF, NSK, FAG, or other brands as requested by clients.
  • All products hold complete CE and ISO certification. We keep full trace records from parts sourcing all the way to final assembly.

Applications

Wall mounted jib cranes from Kino Cranes are in service across the following industrial sectors:

  • Manufacturing and assembly - Regular pick-and-place tasks are done at separate work stations. The 180° rotation arc fits the operator's working scope.
  • Maintenance and repair workshops - Hoist transmissions, gearboxes, motors and large components for maintenance work.
  • Warehousing and logistics - Place medium loads in rack aisles and temporary storage zones where overhead cranes cannot be used.
  • Steel and metal fabrication - Transport raw stock, blanks and finished profiles across cutting, bending and welding work areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is a wall mount jib crane?

A wall mount jib crane is a stationary lifting device bolted to an existing building column or reinforced wall. It consists of a horizontal boom arm that rotates through a semicircular arc (up to 180°), with a hoist that travels along the boom to position loads within the covered radius. It does not require a freestanding column or concrete foundation.

2.How much weight can a wall mounted jib crane lift?

Kino Cranes makes wall mounted jib cranes that support 0.25 t to 5 t rated load. The usable load is decided by boom length, installation height and the load capacity of the wall or column.

3.What is the maximum boom length available?

Standard boom radii range from 2 m to 6 m. Non-standard lengths can be engineered upon request following structural analysis of the mounting point.

4.Can a wall mount jib crane be installed on any wall?

No. The mounting surface must be verified by a qualified structural engineer to confirm it can support the full rated load plus dynamic slewing forces. Kino Cranes provides load-bearing guidance during the specification phase.

5.What is the difference between a wall mounted jib crane and a freestanding jib crane?

Freestanding jib crane: Fitted with an independent vertical column and concrete base, it enables full 360° rotation.

Wall mounted jib crane: Attached to building structures, it allows semicircular rotation up to 180°, and requires no floor column or foundation.

Freestanding units deliver full-circle working range; wall mounted types save space with semicircular coverage.

6.What control methods are available?

Pendant control is standard. Radio remote control is available as an option, allowing the operator to control the crane from outside the load path for improved visibility and positioning accuracy.

7.What hoist types are compatible?

Electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists, and manual lever hoists are all compatible. Hoist selection is based on rated capacity, lifting height, and duty cycle requirements.

8.Does Kino Cranes provide installation?

Yes. Kino Cranes dispatches installation teams to customer sites worldwide. The service covers mechanical assembly, electrical connection, commissioning, and load testing.

9.What certifications apply to Kino Cranes wall mounted jib cranes?

All units are manufactured under ISO-certified quality management systems and carry CE certification. Compliance documentation is provided with each delivery.

10.How do I request a quotation?

Provide Kino Cranes with these details: rated lifting load, boom length, lift height, mounting structure (wall or column), and special demands on control system, hoist type or site conditions. The engineering team will return a technical proposal and price quotation.
