In order to reduce the rotation resistance of the gear of the gantry crane, so as to restrain the heat generation of the reducer, it is recommended that the depth of the gear sinking into the lubricating oil should not exceed three moduli. When the moduli are greater than 20cm and the viscosity of the lubricating oil is large, the depth of the gear sinking into the oil only needs to be equal to the height of the gear. Only the low-speed gear without ribs on the wheel pair is allowed to sink into a greater depth
In the two-stage and three-stage horizontal gear reducers, the horizontal surface of the gantry crane lubricating oil should be adjusted so that the gear teeth of the high-speed gear can be immersed in the lubricating oil.
In the vertical reducer of portal crane, when the method of immersion in oil is selected for lubrication, the upper and central gears are lubricated by the splash of lubricating oil. The lubricating pinion supported by the butcher press plate can also be selected, which is freely installed on the rotating shaft and is instigated to rotate by one of the big gears. When it is the type of rotary lubricating oil for gear reducer, it is necessary to consider the circumferential speed, the average temperature of surrounding air and the selected allowable specific pressure. The allowable arm pressure system is related to the surface hardness of the teeth.
Therefore, when it is the type of rotary lubricating oil for gantry crane gear transmission, the peripheral speed, average temperature of surrounding air and surface hardness of teeth can be considered. For two-stage and three-stage reducers, select the lubricating oil whose viscosity is the average viscosity of the lubricating oil required for lubricating each transmission stage. In the gantry crane gear reducer, when the ambient air temperature is 20 ℃, the operating temperature of the lubricating oil should not exceed 55 ℃.
